for Monday and paragraphing

The essay, "Sport in Society: An Inspiration or an Opiate?" contains paragraphs stuctured in an effective manner, one that you would do well to emulate. Each paragraph contains the following elements:
- A Topic Statement: this sentence makes clear the point of the paragraph, what the paragraph is about.
- A brief explanation as to why the topic matters
- Examples to illustrate the topic.
- Explanation as to how the examples illustrate the importance of the topic.
Each element should be at least once sentence; however, when it comes to examples and explanations, more than one is often needed.
For Monday, bring a rough draft of your assignment 1.2 paragraph. Use the above format, labeling each of the sections. We'll spend some time looking at them and going over other writing focused concerns.

Question on the assignment?
Ok so im still confused as to what we are supposed to be writing about. I remember you saying that its about like finding facts in the book and saying what your opinion is on whether is Inspirational or an Opiate, but then Lynsey told me that it needs to be our own experience from what they explained in the book??? IM confused on what exactly the prompt is?? I understand the whole topic sentence and what you said above but i dont get what we are to write about????
I'll get this in class
I just saw this now, so I'll address it in class. It would be good to bring in the examples from your experience, that could mean things you've heard about or seen. It doesn't have to be something you have done directly. Bradley
Hi i have a QUESTION???
Hi Brad. i really hope you get this. This is Melissa. I have ran into sort of a dilemma. I have been at the hospital for the past two nights. My dad was sent to the Er yesterday and my mom and i have been here. Last night we were here until about 11:30 and i don't know how late we will be here tonight. With this i am saying that i don't think i will have my essay done by tomorrow. I'm on my uncles computer now and my essay is on my computer at my aunts house. it has been sort of crazy this week. I have the essay edited and ready to turn in, i just don't think i can get it in. I am positive it will be in by Monday. I would very much appreciate it if i can turn it in on Monday? but if thats not ok with you then i can possibly get it in tomorrow. Im sorry for the inconvenience so please let me know if that is possible??
Thank you
