Viola, posed as Cersario, is talking to Feste ,the jester, in these scenes. Viola is telling Feste that he must care for Olivia since he is working under her and is her fool. Feste disagree saying that he is her corrupter of words. Festes says that a man that Olivia marries will be her fool. He is saying that the man that Olivia marries will be her follower.
This is contorversial because Feste is saying that Olivia will have the control in her marriage. Olivia is of high power so the man that she marries will have no power in the realtionship. In that time, men where supposed to look like the dominent figure in the relationship.

marriage roles
One of the concerns here is to what station will she marry? For the most part, if we think about Olivia asking Viola/Cesario about his birth, and he says he is a gentleman, she swoons a little deeper, because that means they can marry without creating trouble, or they can just marry because she would not marry beneath her station in life.
