The End of The glass Menagerie.
My favorite part about this play was how uncompromising it was. There were no excuses laid out for how the characters acted. But their actions spoke volumes about how they felt during a particular situation, whether it be yearning, lust, or care. The characters all had personality that jump off the page but not it an unrealistic way. This unchecked realism left more questions than it gave answers. I can't think of anything that I din't like about the end of this play. My favorite passage was Tom's monologue at the end. He showed remorse for doing what he did, talking about how memories of his family would follow him wherever he went. This passage shows how hard this decision was for Tom to make.

well said
Well said about the end leaving more questions than answers. Although at first that was an aspect I found somewhat frustrating, I think that was the whole point. In real life, the answers to life’s problems aren’t always clear cut. This play does a great job of reminding us of this.
excuses
there doesn't have to be any excuses for their actions. if the reader is able to understand what is happening then the reactions should be understandable on both ends. for every action there is a reaction
