through the three poems i picked up strong feelings of hurt and resentment about certain actions on all sides. the author feels like he has lied to himself far too often by line 14 of verse 152, and prior to that such things arise as telling what has been done in a really roundabout fashion that can describe either male or female. particular to the superego, are the lines 5-9 of verse 140 that simply put, tell the sick "everything they want to hear" which in both cases the complete opposite happens.

Mystery
I think I was seeing the same thing to a certain extent. It seems as though somebody got cheated on, I just can't figure out if it was Shakes or one of his close loved ones. Was Shakes lying to himself that he loved him or her, or that he or she loved him?
On 140, I kind of took it as listening to only the things that are important when tough times come about and not so much what they want to hear but what they need to hear.
