My very own Sonnet...

One glance for you and I am hooked,
From across the sea or somewhere near.
Like a jail, my heart is booked,
And yet, my mind alone, is filled with fear.

Someday you may walk away and not turn back.
The presence that from which is you
Holds steady upon my heart, as if craved in a plaque.
Yet still, one look sets my mind anew.

If you must find someone else’s hand,
My mind will break, and my head will fall.
As if I am of stone, I may sink into sand,
Tossed aside like some rag-doll.

My words my not be much at all,
But in the end, I am your thrall.

Seem's Sad

I really liked the point of view of this sonnet. It seems so sad, about a lost love, but very lovely at the same time. I really liked the line "Like a jail, my heart is booked". It had great imagery thinking about how a person can capture another's heart like that. This could almost become a series of sonnets (like Shakespeare's) with losing love and gaining it back in some way. I don't know, just my opinion.
