Journal 17

Reading Act 1, scene 1 there was a lot of people saying one thing and doing another, particularly Warwick. On one page he was insulting King Henry and encouraging York to rebel, and then he was saying "Long live the King". Talk about changing tunes!

I noticed the similar behavior in the other characters, but not to the extent of Warwick, although York, Richard, Edward, and Montague also switch sides pretty quickly once they find out that Henry has given the throne to York after his death.

I am curious to see what will happen in the rest of the play...if York will continue to conspire, and what Prince Edward and Queen Margaret will do.

thank goodness

I have trouble keeping the names straight in this play. I was thinking, oh no, I don't know who Warwick is! Phew! Bradley
