Youtube Richard Picture Perfect

I loved the cast for this scene in the clip we watched. King Richard was perfect as a stuck up, oblivious young man, and it helped the whole play make more sense to me. Reading the play, I couldn't picture a King just disregarding the wise advice offered to him. The pompous nature of the actor showed me where the frustration of those working with the king stemmed from. "Oh, by the way, if you could do away with my uncles. Yes, there's some towels in the laundry rooms, those should do the trick. And afterwards I'll banish you for ages! *insert pleasant laughter* He just doesn't seem to have a care in the world, he disregards advice and what everyone thinks in order to get his way.
Seeing how the king might have acted really helped me picture the situation unfolding.
Dying Gaunt was portrayed well, also. He seemed angry and frustrated but still hopeful that Richard can do something to save his reputation.

Agreed. I couldn't picture

Agreed. I couldn't picture the king that way either until seeing him acted out so dramatically.
