Journal 19: Richard is X
The climax of the play is inevitable.
"What is X?"
X is the former kin"g of England Richard the second, the king is near to the point of sobbing, his kingdom is literally crumbling right before his eyes and it seems there is nothing he can do.
"What does X do?"
I imagine X, or Richard the II slumped over in some huge chair fit for a king thinking about his Welsh troops disbanding in the dark torch lit halls of flint castle. To the King it must seem like there is nothing he can do so he hides in the castle walls.
"What does X mean?"
I feel that the state that X, or Richard the II is in has a very simple meaning. England is going to have a new king soon.

X Also Means
I think X can have a deeper meaning too. I think it can also mean the king should or has abandoned all hope for himself.
