What is Richard?

After reading through act 3, I can say for a fact that Richard is an emotional wreck.

After coming home from the Irish war, he finds out that Bushy and Green have been murderedand his own uncle has left him for Harry. To answer the question "What is X" (X being Richard) I would have to say confused ("Am I not King?"), frustrated, betrayed, and unsure what to do next. What does X do? Well, to sum everything up in a nutshell, X failed miserably not only to for himself and his attempts to disperse and obliterate the council that preceded him but to his country and his people as well. He treated his subjects as if they didn't matter and attempted to use the fear of him being God on Earth to keep them from acting out. For what X means is a little more challenging. However, I think the best way to put it would be that X means it's time for a new ruler, because X was unjust and is now coming apart at the seams.

Haha I love how bluntly you put your answer for "what does X mean?"! I heartily agree. That's always such a difficult question for me, but you answered it very straightforward, and you struck true.
Isn't it interesting how one's failure to act right and justly can be one's end?
