Journal nineteen: Richard and Harry

In act four Richard is more of a wreck than he was in the past act. He seems as though he's resolved to give up his crown in deed, but his emotional connection to being king is what's hard for him to let go of. It's pretty much all he's ever known, so he doesn't know who he is really apart from it. Harry is all too eager to become king, but has some compassion for how Richard is feeling. It's not as though he's grabbing for the crown or anything, but he waits for Richard to get his tantrum overwith and then accepts his new position as king.
