SO basically what i'm trying to show in my paper is how shakespeare applys in MOV the 3 casket rule... he aslo uses this in King lear. through out history the three casket rule has been applied to many many stories... In Merchant of Venice, King Lear, and even the historical myth of Paris of Troy.I saw a pattern after reading an article by Sigmund Freud intitled the theme of the three caskets. He uses other examples but these are my favorites. I am writing about how the three casket rule applys a theme of morale in all the storys. With king lear... which daughter is better, In MOV who is the right suitor, and in Illiad which goddess is the smarter choice, love, land, or wealth??? They all bring to call teh morale of the subject the trial is bestowed upon... Anyways that is where i am going with that... I'll bring my article in tomorrow...
